“YOUR VOICES”
The following pages contain the words of survivors of sexual violence. These courageous individuals have brought their experiences and feelings to those who are fortunate to read their truths. SASSMM acknowledges the content may be difficult to read, triggering emotions for some; however, these columns are the words that describe life-impacting events that happened to the authors. They are truly survivors.
SASSMM welcomes written work from individuals who have experienced sexual violence. Although we don’t have the resources to print long articles, we respectfully welcome poetry, short articles, or letters that give “Your Voice” the opportunity to speak to the realities of surviving sexual violence. Actual names of the authors will not be used unless you make that choice.
Please submit “Your Voice” via email to information@sassmm.org or by mail to SASSMM, PO Box 990 Brunswick, ME 04011, Attention: Sue (Please include your phone number for editing questions). Thank you.
Please read these pages with caution and call our crisis and support line (1-800-871-7741) if you would like to talk about your reaction to these words.
